Kevin Burnette, CEO
Kevin founded Gulf Direct in 2002, after leaving Dell Computer, where he served as Senior Marketing Manager for the Large Corporate Accounts and Preferred Accounts (Mid-Sized firm) Divisions. At Dell, he co-led the cross-functional team that consolidated Dell’s first marketing database across all business lines in the Americas Group. He also ran a highly successful lead generation campaign for more than three years, for which he was given several management awards, as his team grew and their scope was enlarged to encompass all of the Large Corporate Account space. Previous to Dell, Kevin owned his own marketing firm in Houston, Texas, where he conducted what were then called “database marketing” services for private sector firms and political campaigns. All told, Kevin has designed and executed major marketing communication campaigns -- and their strategies – for 9 private companies and 13 public sector organizations. He has a B.A. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.B.A. from Baylor University.
